Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi: Appointed on 6 August 1990 by President Ghulam Ishaq Khan, Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi served as the first interim Prime Minister of Pakistan for three months until 6 November 1990.

Balakh Sher Mazari: Balakh Sher Mazari assumed the role of interim Prime Minister after the restoration of Nawaz Sharif’s government, following a Supreme Court decision that overturned the Presidential order.

Moeenuddin Ahmad Qureshi: Following Nawaz Sharif’s resignation in July 1993, Moeenuddin Ahmad Qureshi was designated as the interim Prime Minister for over a month.

Malik Meraj Khalid: Appointed by the President of Pakistan after the dismissal of Benazir Bhutto’s government in November 1996, Malik Meraj Khalid held the position of interim Prime Minister.

Muhammad Mian Soomro: Serving the longest term as interim Prime Minister, Muhammad Mian Soomro held office for four months and eight days, from 16 November 2007 to 24 March 2008.

Mir Hazar Khan Khoso: Appointed by the Election Commission of Pakistan, Mir Hazar Khan Khoso assumed the role of interim Prime Minister on 25 March 2013.

Nasirul Mulk: The most recent individual to hold the position of interim Prime Minister, Nasirul Mulk was appointed through consensus between Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and opposition leader Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah on 28 May 2018. Nasirul Mulk took the oath of office on 1 June 2018
